Lower Valley Patrol
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Montana Patrol Station is located on the east side of the County and is responsible for staffing seven patrol districts. The Montana Patrol Station handles all County related calls for service that originate east of Joe Battle to the El Paso / Hudspeth County line, north to Loop 375 and Railroad, and south to the Mexican border. These areas include East Montana / Montana Vista, Horizon City, Clint, San Elizario, Fabens, and Tornillo.
Deputies assigned to the Montana Patrol Station also provide assistance as a secondary patrol response to agencies that include; Socorro Police Department, Clint Police Department, and Horizon Police Department. Encompassed within the Montana Patrol Station area of responsibility are substations located in Montana Vista, Clint, and Fabens. The Montana Station Commanders oversee the Field Training Officer Program as well as the Deputy Reserve Program.
