POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN FATAL HIT & RUN

cslogo A woman walking with her husband on the eastside of town is struck and killed by a motorist who fled, making this the

Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.”

Approximately 1:20 A.M. on Monday, November 7th, 2011, after a night outeppd 32-year-old Kimberly Esparza from the 2700 block of Red Sails was walking home with her husband on Pebble Hills Blvd. Kimberly Esparza was hit by a vehicle heading east on Pebble Hills, and the driver of that vehicle did not stop to render aid. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed is not a factor in the collision and it is unknown if alcohol was involved. The vehicle could only be described as a dark-colored SUV. Because this is a heavily traveled area, police investigators are hoping that someone saw the collision and can provide further details. It is also believed that the vehicle would now show severe damage to the front end.

This is the 2nd time this case has been featured as Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week” (11-18-11).
