POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN ROBBERY ON FAR EASTSIDE

On Monday, September 12th, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the afternoon, the victim was picked up
by a stranger near Padres and Alameda in the Mission Valley. The suspect then drove the victim to a dead-end at 12800 Ventana where he began struggling with her and stole her cell phone. The victim was able to fight off the attack and exit the vehicle. She ran for help to a nearby home where she called Police.
Investigators from the El Paso Police Department’s Pebble Hills Regional Command Center are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for this attack. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male with short black hair, 25 years old, tall with a medium build, and a piercing on his left eyebrow. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt, and jeans. He fled the scene in a red 2-door pickup with extended cab, possibly a Toyota Tacoma.
