POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS IN THEFT OF VEHICLE

Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”

Approximately 5:20 P.M. on Thursday, October 6^th, 2011, a shopper parked his 1994 white-on-white Honda Accord, Texas license plates 343-HNC, in the parking lot at the eastside Wal-Mart located at 7101 Gateway West. Three minutes later, he returned to find the car was gone.

Investigators from the El Paso County Auto Burglary & Theft Prevention Task Force learned from surveillance video that two unknown male suspects were seen approaching the car, and that it took them only 7 seconds to enter it and another 20 seconds to exit the parking lot. The vehicle was locked and the owner had the keys, but even that did not stop the thieves.
