DEPUTY BADGE WHT

EL PASO, TX-On 11-05-11, at approximately 6:10 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Transmountain Road (TMR)-East reference point (RP)-17, in reference to a tractor trailer rollover. Deputies arrived to find the single vehicle accident at TMR East RP/20 on the right side of the road near the picnic area. The truck tractor, a white, 2009 Tractor Trailer (Sky Transportation Services) was lying on its right side on the shoulder and the trailer was leaning on its right side on a concrete retaining barrier. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was identified as Hugo Arce (45) and was transported by FMS (ambulance) to a local area hospital with non life threatening injuries. High winds and the inability to control the vehicle were determined to be the cause of the accident. The Texas Department of Transportation was notified. TMR remained open for travel; however, Apache Barricades were summoned to the scene to place barriers along the right eastbound shoulder as a precaution for travelers.
