STRIKE TEAM DEPUTIES ARREST 3 -ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO A DRUG BUST

EL PASO, TX-On 11-02-2011 at approximately 8:15 PM, Strike Team Deputies were travelling north at the 400 block of Yarbrough, in El Paso County, TX, when they observed a brown 2000 Dodge Caravan, also travelling north on Yarbrough, that failed to signal a left turn onto North Loop. A traffic stop was conducted on the said vehicle at the 7800 block of North Loop.
Strike Team Deputies approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver identified as Jaime Dominguez and two other male occupants identified as Sergio Gallegos/front passenger and Antonio Dominguez/rear passenger. While talking to the driver, the driver appeared to be nervous and avoid eye contact. Deputies also detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from within the vehicle. The subjects were told to exit the vehicle and a voluntary consent to search was obtained from the driver.
During the interior search of the vehicle, Deputies located two bundles of what appeared to be marijuana wrapped in black plastic near the middle seat to include a clear plastic baggy and folded dollar bill each containing a white powdery substance appearing to be cocaine found in the upper console of the vehicle. The substances were field tested and both tested positive for marijuana and cocaine.
All three subjects were booked into the El Paso County Jail Annex with the below charges.
