EP SHERIFFF patch color small2EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS- This week’s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual who has continued to elude authorities for several months. He is wanted for a slew of serious & violent offenses to include taunting Law Enforcement vowing he will not get caught. The target is identified as DANIEL HUIZAR (30) of El Paso, TX.

HUIZAR was previously featured on MANHUNT SPECIAL EDITION on February 15, 2011 & has been featured one of Crime Stoppers of El Paso MOST WANTED on 3 occasions (02/18, 04/01, & 04/22) .

FEBRUARY 2011  On February 01, 2011, at approximately 11:30am, a Sheriff’s Deputy patrolling the area of the 12700 block of Montana, attempted to pull over a green Chrysler 300 passenger car for a traffic violation. The vehicle momentarily stopped at the intersection of Montana and Turf.  The driver then sped off at a high rate of speed nearly plowing into other vehicles. The vehicle accelerated to high speeds continuing east on Montana. At that point the chase was on. While pursuing the vehicle the occupants were observed throwing unknown objects from the right passenger side window. As the objects hit the ground, a cloud of white powdery substance emitted upon impact to the pavement (the substance was retrieved & later tested positive for cocaine). The Deputy continued following the Chrysler 300 through various streets in the immediate area & onto a dirt image_thumb28road thru the desert. While the chase continued thru the desert, a male subject was seen exiting the vehicle from the right passenger side running south into the desert area. The vehicle continued east on the desert area. The Sheriff’s Deputy exited his unit & chase down the male subject successfully taking him into custody. The passenger was identified as FRANCISCO HUIZAR-GOMEZ (33) – brother of the driver. He was arrested & charged with the offenses of EVADING ARREST & POSSESSION OF COCAINE.

The Chrysler 300 continued thru the desert at high speeds. The Sheriff’s Deputy thru S.O. Communications relayed a spot broadcast on the suspect vehicle to responding Deputies. After searching the area, Deputies could not locate the suspect vehicle.

Further investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle was DANIEL HUIZAR (30) of the Montana Vista area – El Paso County, TX.

DANIEL HUIZAR has a an extensive criminal history & is wanted for several charges to include the aforementioned POSSESSION OF COCAINE / EVADING ARREST W/ VEHICLE case. He is also wanted on unrelated AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/ DEADLY WEAPON, EVADING ARREST, BURGLARY OF HABITATION, UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE, & ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY charges.

DANIEL HUIZAR knows he is wanted & continues to elude capture. HUIZAR remains in the  Borderland area & has openly said that Law Enforcementwill not catch him”.

NEW INFORMATION:   Just recently, HUIZAR was said to be seen in the Montana Vista area – which means he is still hiding out in El Paso, TX area. He has several friends in the area that may be hiding him & transporting him from hideout to hideout. Sheriff’s Officials remind those who are assisting HUIZAR that HINDERING THE APPREHENSION OF A FUGITIVE IS A FELONY OFFENSE.

cslogoSheriff’s Officials are asking the public - if anyone has seen or has any information on the  whereabouts of DANIEL HUIZAR to please contact the Sheriff’s Office (915) 546-2280 or  Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477).
